"Macaroni at Midnight"
The presentation is a profile of Dr. Bartlette's experiences as an Native American growing up with severe speech and physical handicaps in an environment of poverty, child abuse, family violence, homelessness, racism, and alcoholism. It highlights his becoming a Christian through the help of two women in his life. The first woman rescued him when he was a homeless adolescent and in trouble with the law. The second woman helped lead him to the Lord.

Following this presentation attendees will be able to:
• Describe the individual impact a person can have on making
Christ real to others.
• Describe those factors that affect client struggles.
• Interpret how intervention strategies assist a client in overcoming obstacles
• Describe family, school, and community barriers to a client's success.
Don Bartlette received his Ph.D in social work from the University of North Dakota and a Ph.D in Education from Pacific University in Columbia, California. Prior to his traveling speaking ministry, Dr. Bartlette's professional career included over twenty years of working as a program director, administrator, direct-care supervisor, child-care worker, social worker, counselor, educator, and staff developer with troubled youth, minorities, families, an
