Steve "Left Hand" Lewis

Guitarist

About the performer: At the tender age of four, Steve picked up his first guitar. This sparked the beginning of a musical career that has spanned almost three decades. Known as “Left Hand” Lewis, Steve has the unique characteristic of playing with his left hand. This means that he actually plays the guitar upside down (a rarity among guitarist). Steve has shared the stage with international recording artists such as: Shirley Caesar, Al Jarreau, Alex Bugnon, Michael Franks, Vesta, Spyro Gyra, Jonathan Butler, and Pamela Williams. He has also established himself locally and beyond Atlanta as one of the most gifted musicians on the scene today. Additional performance credits include: performing the National Anthem for the 100 Black Men’s Association, 1996 Olympic Jazz Concert, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Capital Jazz Festival. Steve has also performed with gospel radio hosts Rhodell Lewis and Kelsy Davis & Radical Soul. Steve was heavily influenced by the likes of Norman Brown, Chuck Loeb, Peter White and George Benson. Steve’s personal testimony is one of a journey riddled with trials, tribulations and triumphs. For this reason, Steve plans to spread a message to the least, the lost and the left out. This message is simply that God is a God of a second chance. Steve is happily married and resides in Atlanta, GA
