Presenters Agreement
NACSW's
convention niche, consistent with our association mission, is to provide
workshops and poster sessions that equip conference participants to
integrate Christian faith
and professional social work practice. As such, we are primarily interested
in workshop and poster submissions that are sensitive to the thoughtful
integration of faith or spirituality and some aspect of social work
practice.
I signify my agreement to the following: (please check all to continue)
If my/our presentation proposal is
accepted, I/we agree - unless a bona fide emergency occurs - to:
- be present at NACSW's Convention 2014 in
Annapolis, Maryland
- register for the convention by no
later than October 17th, 2014 (at my/our own expense at the usual convention
rate - acknowledging that no honorarium will be paid for
my/our presentation)
- make my/our
presentation at the time selected by the Convention 2014
planning committee between November 6-8, 2014
- provide at least 25 copies of handouts at no expense to the convention.
I understand that if I/we do not register for the convention
by October 17th, 2014, my/our presentation may have to be removed from
the convention program.
NACSW will make every effort to provide a data projector (for PowerPoint
presentations) and a screen for all presenters at no cost,
although we cannot guarantee we will be able to do so for every
workshop. We are not, however, able
to provide laptop computers, so please
bring your own laptop if you wish to use a data projector in the workshop room
for your presentation.
If I want to use any equipment for my presentation
other than a data/LCD projector and screen (for example,
overhead projector, connection to the Internet, laptop, computer
speakers, CD player, dry erase board, flip chart, etc.),
I understand I will have to contact the hotel AV department directly and make arrangements
with them to pay for this equipment
at my own expense. |
