Student Volunteer Opportunities 2024

The Success of NACSW Onsite Conventions Depends Heavily on Our Student Volunteers!!!

Student volunteers who attend our onsite conventions help make our conferences run smoothly and efficiently. At the same time, volunteering at a NACSW convention is a wonderful opportunity to network with and learn from Christians in social work from all over North America.

Information about Being a Student Volunteer at NACSW’s Onsite Convention 2024

Student Volunteer FAQ: This summary answers frequently asked questions about expectations, registration, accommodations, planning in advance, and more at our on-site convention.

Time commitment: You will agree to assist at the convention in Dallas for between 6-10 hours on-site.

Expectations: You will be assigned tasks on-site such as monitoring workshops, helping workshop presenters with technology, or assisting with registration, etc. Information about how to assist will be discussed and provided. The success of the conference depends on volunteers, so NACSW expects its student volunteers to be responsible in fulfilling their volunteer assignments.

Onsite Student Volunteer Registration: You can register online, or by downloading the onsite student volunteer registration form  and mailing it in with your payment. Submit your completed online or hard copy application and payment to NACSW online by September 20, 2024.

Onsite Registration Rates: The registration rates for students include attendance to all convention workshop sessions, plenary sessions and banquet (but not preconvention institutes).

On-site registration rates:

• $140 Non-member Rate (includes 6-month NACSW membership at no additional cost)

• $110 Member Rate (applies to current individual members of NACSW only).

If you are not able to travel to the Dallas area for this year’s convention, we will also be offering a virtual convention option for students during these same dates.
